I cannot recommend this application too highly. Worst-case, you can always attempt to contact Hamrick Software if you cannot find the required file version below. If you are looking for a great scanning package that is far better than nearly any scanning package bundled with your scanner, look no further.

I cannot rave too highly about this application and its gold standard support! Extensive and well-written documentation, too. The recommended system requirements for VueScan software (version 9.7.11) is not listed on Hamrick Software's website, but as the software is designed to work with any version of Windows. Every scanner comes with its own scan utility, so you might wonder why you would need to buy another one, like VueScan 9 Professional Edition (79.95) from Hamrick Software. Nothing wrong with the software, just with the user. By Hamrick Software VueScan is a powerful scanning program that works with most scanners to produce high-quality scans that have excellent color fidelity. Ed Hamrick responded himself within an hour and over the next several days (which happened to be Memorial Day weekend) diligently worked with me to solve the problem (which turned out to be a default setting I must have inadvertently changed during an update). I ran into the very first problem I have ever had with the application late last week and reached out to their support page to submit a request. VueScan, the worlds most popular scanner software, is used extensively by photographers, home users, scanning services.
I use it for document scans, photos, negatives, and slides. I flip between two scanners myself - one which is part of an all-in-one printer and one a very high quality standalone scanner. I have been using VueScan for at least 10 years and noticed it is often updated over this time to support new scanners and improved functionality. Outstanding Product and Gold Standard Support
